Las Vegas

THANKS Shelly for asking me to go with you on a all expense paid trip to Vegas. It was fun. Just a quick trip, left on Saturday, came home on Monday afternoon. Shelly does a bit of gambling here in AZ, and gets rooms paid for. So when we checked in at the Rio, they said they only had suites, okay no problem... So they told us we had to use our room key in the elevator to get to the 20th floor....WHAT? So yep, we had a huge 1600 sq foot suite, the kind with a door bell. I was shocked, it was awesome, this room was like what you see in the movies, huge, 2 bathrooms, a bidet, marble floors, full size jacuzzi, and a huge tv that came out of a cabinet, with a remote control. Hum, I don't think I could ever stay in a motel 6 again... But probably will, not enough in the budget for that kind of room. BUT, it was fun for 2 days.

Happy Birthday Gavin

Wow, where has the past 5 years gone? I cannot believe that Gavin is 5 years old. His nick name is Gavi Love, he has always been a sweetie. He is always smiling, he loves to help, and always ready to give you a kiss and hug. Happy Birthday dear Gavin, happy birthday to you!

Tristan in his glory....He LOVES horses!

This kid loves horses. So we took a drive out to my parents house, so Tristan could see the horses. They have a new addition, a mamoth Jack. His name is John Henry. Look at them ears, and bonus Tristan got to ride him.

Another Tender Mercy

I am feeling like a lucky Mom, and so blessed for sure! So I got a call on my cell phone, early Sunday morning. It was our former Stake President, President Gulbrandsen (he was the one that set Logan apart for his mission in July 2007) he and his wife were on a cruise in Puerto Rico and were attending church, and yes they picked the Ward that Logan attends. He said Logan was so full of the light of Christ, and looked and sounded awesome. He also sent me a couple of pictures.... Awww I love modern technology. Seems every time I am really missing my boys, I recieve these special tender mercies.

So this is my week....WRONG,WRONG,WRONG

Well I was so excited to have my BFF Cyndi come from Michigan...She is staying a week. I took a few days off work, so we could go to Sedona. Well I had to be downtown Phoenix (Monday) for jury duty selection, of course I was so positive, that my number would be dismissed, and that I would not even have to go, well that was WRONG so I am still thinking that I will show up, and not be picked to even be selected... WRONG. At the end of day, my name was called to go in for the selection process, so of course I tell myself, no problem I will just tell my story, that my BFF is in town, and we are going to Sedona, blah blah, well WRONG again, that didn't work. I get up and tell a few personal things about myself thinking that will do it... WRONG. So long story, Cyndi is in beautiful Sedona, and I am in the beautiful Superior Court Bldg. This whole thing is just WRONG! ( I am trying to have a good attitude, being positive that I must need to learn something in this whole process....Still wondering what it is?)

Well at least we did get a few evenings together, and some great conversions and dinners!

I got tickets to Cavalia tonight. I have been wanting to see it for a long time. I am glad it came to Scottsdale. Hum, wonder why my grandkids love horses? I will report soon!

Tender Mercy

I got a call a few days ago, from this dear sweet lady, (Sister) Jean Shupe, who had just returned from the New Jersey Morristown mission a short 5 weeks ago. She was in Arizona to visit her daughter and family. She called me per Colten's request, and wanted to visit. I picked her up and we went to lunch. She was so full of details of what a great job our Elder is doing, and what a love he has for his savior. I am so glad that he doing what he is asked to do, and being the best he can be! I am so proud of him. Thanks for a great lunch, and I hope our friendship continues, Sis. Shupe you are definetly a jewel in my life.

A pony and a party

So we had Tristan's birthday party. A pony was a special suprise for a hour. What fun the kids had as Clyde rode them around and around. Tristan is horse crazy, he loves everything about horses. So it was only fitting to have a pony for his special day. Happy Birthday little "cowboy"!

Then there was a pinata, presents, and cake to make the day complete!

Where has time gone.... This little guy is 3 years old already. He brings so much love and laughter to my life. Happy Birthday Tristan!

Here is Logan the night before we took him to the MTC in July of 2007. He is with his friends Scott Ball, Daniel Anderson and Max Crandall. They are all serving missions too, and will be home this summer.... YEA!

Thanks for being my Dad, thanks for always being there for me. We celebrated at Joe's BBQ, funny that there were 3 different tables full of birthday celebrations. Hum, lots of "ground hog" birthdays today. I love you Dad!

6 Months.... and Elder Logan Wells will be home!

Okay, sorry but I guess all of my last posts have been about my boys. I do have some catching up to do... But the best news is Logan will be home is 6 months. He has fiqured his release date to be July 23rd.... YIPPEE..... This Mom will be so excited to see him, and a bit of her nest full. This empty nest is not what is cracked up to be. With Logan and Colten both on missions, and Stacey and family in Colorado, we are pretty boring... We are grateful to Jayson, Tina and Tristan to be here in Mesa for sure. It has been fun to go to some homecomings, and see the joy in those Mom's hearts having their sons home. I cannot wait till he is home. Time is going by faster for us missing Colten... He will have 10 months served tomorrow....I know this is the only time in my life, I want time to fly by.....So here a few pictures of Logan. Enjoy!
