My nephew Kent is quite the hunter... He had to chase this 2 year old cow buffalo allover in order to shoot it. He dropped her with one shot... Way to go Kent. THANKS for the samples of the meat. It was so yummy! Oh, and Happy Birthday on the 22nd!

Of course it is always fun when Tristan comes over!

He is so silly and definetly makes us laugh and smile!

More cousin time in Michigan

It is always great to be with my Aunts, Uncle and cousins!

My Aunt Lois, and Aunt Marge, these are my Dad's sisters.

These are my only girl cousins on my Dad's side... My cousin Karen I had not seen each other in over 20 years, it was great to be with her, and catch up like there was no lost time!

Michigan

It was fun to be with my Pickett cousins, we went to the Tiger baseball game at Comerica Park.
It was my Aunt Char's birthday, and her kids had this put on the big screen.

What the heck happened to September?

Yeppers, it is gone gone gone. Since Cyndi and I both turned the big 50 this year, we decided years ago we would go to New York. So I flew to Michigan, then we went to NYC, of course it was awesome again.... We had so much fun together as always.

I actually learned to like the subway...notice I didn't say "LOVE"?

The Manhattan TempleMarkets in China town

View from Top of the Rock... 68 stories high, awesome I loved seeing Central Park and the empire state building.

Saw Mamma Mia, and Phantom on Broadway..... they were both awesome, of course!

50 is nifty

So I guess since I turned 50, I just better put on a happy face and deal with it, cause it isn't going to go away, huh? So my brother called to tell me happy birthday and told me I was a antique.. Thanks Keith, that made me feel so much better. A antique? So Logan told me he was taking me to dinner...I kinda thought to myself, really he has no money but whatever.... Maybe taco bell? So I came home from work, showered... and that is about it. He told me Yes, I looked fine. If I would have known what I was in for... maybe a little hair do, and some make up? Oh well. It was a little suprise party at Golden Corral. YES, I was suprised. THANKS for a great "Nifty Fifty" birthday party. I am loved!

Refining Moments

Wow, our Stake Conference was awesome. The spirit was so strong. I felt like I needed every word that was spoken. I think the whole conference was just for me, sorry everybody. The words touched my soul. Lots of important words to ponder. I really enjoyed Pres. Ostler's talk on refining moments. I have reflected on my refining moments and how they have touched and polished my life. I count myself honored to be worthy of being tested by him, for it is only through testing and refining that the best (and worst) is brought out in us. The molding takes place and shape is given to us as his will is. It can be very difficult and honestly, very painful... but I know it's for the best; that He may use me to glorify Himself... We talk about defining moments, but I think nothing can define you. They’re all refining moments. You’re constantly refining yourself and refining your life.

No,I did not forget Elder Colten Wells

I feel like all the emphasis has been on Logan, with his return and excitement, but we still have the best hardworking missionary in the New Jersey Morristown Mission.... Colten will return in April 2010. I cannot wait. Here are some current pictures. He just sent his memory card home today... It sure makes this Mom happy when I see his face. Oh how I miss him and cannot wait till April 1st. So in about 8 months, 2 weeks and some odd days he will be home. Until then, I hold out for pictures and our Christmas day phone call!
